Mantourage present true to their name – a folk rock outfit led by frontwoman Ana-Maria Espino Trudel and backed by a pair of dumb, pretty boys. Stepping away from her career as a director-cinematographer and into the role of a forthright singer-songwriter, Trudel straddles a line between wistfulness and disillusion, evoking scummy lovers, heartbroken-but-tough girls finding their way, and formative moments spent discovering cassettes on family rugs smelling faintly of dad's pot.
