MISSION
Through our inclusive programming we invite our audience to engage with music and art in an innovative way. We support the artistic excellence of emerging performers while fostering professional connections between local and visiting artists. We showcase international calibre performances and facilitate professional development opportunities. We value volunteerism and community engagement.
Lawnya Vawnya is a non-profit arts organization mandated to present year-round multidisciplinary and collaborative artistic experiences focused on new independent music; to produce a multi-day festival of music and art each spring in downtown St. John’s, Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland); to showcase a vibrant music and arts community; and to help further position Newfoundland and Labrador on a national and international cultural map.
