Joanna Barker is a musician and arts educator born and raised in Spel'tk, Ktaqmkuk (Grand Falls-Windsor, NL) and lives on Epekwitk (PEI) with her family. She’s participated in LV as a solo act, as a member of bands including The Belle Trackies and John, and as a guest panelist representing Girls Rock NL and SWIM. As an arts educator working in the Atlantic provinces, Joanna has been awarded the 2021 Builders Award for Newer Teachers from the Canadian Music Educators Association, the 2020 Music Educator of the Year, Music NL and 2019 Arts In Education Award, Arts NL.
