Megan Samms is an L’nu and Nlaka’pamux multidisciplinary artist working in ranging mediums: textile, natural dyes and inks, paint, words, mapping, photo. They are also a regenerative farmer; practice in sustainability, in all ways, informs her processes too.
Megan explores anticolonial values, multiplicity and contrastingly, at fragmentation carefully
weaving together with love and care. They are interested in the realities of inter-dependance, in utopia, in security and capability that comes with these. Megans work results in layered material and sometimes functional objects from the hand, words from the heart, and narrative based on living and responding with place and kin.
